Cars for Kids donation and auction facility celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting this month.  City of Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Honorable Erik Wilson, was on hand to snip the ribbon at the ceremony.

The new facility provides 27,000 square feet in the main building which houses the offices for the nonprofit organization, buyer’s and dealer’s lounges, sales offices and an indoor auction bay with seating for the public.  The relocation of the facility from Arlington to Dallas took place in July after the 8.3 acre former dealership was renovated to accommodate the needs of the nonprofit organization.

Public auctions will be held at the facility 50 Saturday’s out of the year.  The nonprofit group donates 100% of the net proceeds from the auction to support the at-risk high school students enrolled in Texans Can Academies.

The new location is at 7100 Marvin D. Love Freeway in Dallas.
