Old Chisholm Trail NSDAR Present Award to Texas Country Reporters

Old Chisholm Trail NSDAR Regent Pat Thibodeau and PR/Media chairs Jo Ann Holt Caussey and Bobby Cutler Hill presented an award to Bob Phillips and Kelli Phillips with Texas Country Reporter TV show Sat., Oct. 24.   They were honored for their segment on Patriot Paws that aired locally on KTDX TV Channel 27.  Old Chisholm Trail is a chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution based in Duncanville that also includes members from Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Lancaster, Midlothian, Oak Cliff, Ovilla, Red Oak, and other North Texas cities.

The awards were presented during the Texas Country Reporter Festival, an annual event produced by the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and CVB.  In spite of the rain, the popular festival drew umbrella-carrying locals and tourists to sample the wares and visit the various vendors who were set up around the town square.  The only casualty was the parade, which had to be cancelled due to heavy rains that morning.  However, the highly anticipated country music concert by the band America went on that evening and drew crowds.

Longtime TV celebrity reporter and host Bob Phillips, whose Bob Phillips Productions regularly produces shows that highlight interesting historic sites and patriotic people throughout Texas, said this may be the only photo in existence where he's wearing a baseball cap!
