North Oak Cliff resident Michael Casey was recently re-elected to Texans Can Academies’ Board of Trustees for a second three-year term. Texans Can Academies is an open enrollment, public high school system of choice with 11 campuses statewide.

 

Casey is chairman of the board and CEO of Grand Bank Texas as well as president and CEO of Casey Bancorp, Inc. A native of Texas City, Casey graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree. He has served on numerous nonprofit and business boards throughout his professional career.

 

“I am honored to have been re-elected for a second term as a member of the Texans Can Academies Board of Trustees,” said Casey. “It’s a privilege to be allowed to continue working for our students. I am always inspired by their determination and fortitude.”

 

Richard Marquez, CEO of Texans Can Academies, said, “We are fortunate to have Michael continue on the board. Our trustees volunteer countless hours to guide our schools and assure we deliver the best education available to our students. Michael doesn’t mind rolling his sleeves up and helping us do whatever is needed to assure we deliver the best possible education to our students.”
