Oak Cliff resident Jamie Laws used to daydream about leaving her day job and opening a neighborhood garden shop. When Elizabeth Cummings told her it was now or never, she jumped at the chance to lease a little historic garage on West Davis Street and open a neighborhood organic garden shop with her friend.
After almost two years in business, that's all come to an end. The search to find a new home came up empty, so Laws and Cummings will be closing Repotted at the end of the month.
"We have loved getting to know you all, loved getting to be a part of the community, and we have appreciated your support through droughts and freezes and all the rest," Laws and Cummings said in an email to customers.
According to the ladies at Repotted, Brumley Gardens will move into 700 W. Davis St. on Aug. 1. Until then head over to repotted this weekend for 50 percent off of all non-consignment inventory. Next weekend, everything will be 75 percent off.
