Bishop Dunne will host its annual Fall Media Day on August 9 at the Earl Hayes Stadium, located behind the school at 3900 Rugged Drive. This event will be a chance for local sports writers and broadcasters to meet the varsity players and talk to the coaches. Last year Bishop Dunne had an impressive record, with wins over cross town rivals Bishop Lynch and Fort Worth rival Nolan. Six of the varsity starters from the 2013-14 team earned scholarships to play football this fall, with players going to Notre Dame, Brown, Texas Tech, Midwestern State, Northern Colorado and Arkansas.

Already this season senior Darrion Daniels, a 6’4” 300 pound Offensive and Defensive Line Tackle, has over 30 college scholarship offers including Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, SMU, Baylor, USC, Notre Dame and LSU, and he will be making a big announcement on Media Day.

The event will include games for children of all ages.

The day begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude at noon.

The Falcons’ first home football game is August 29  against Dallas Christian. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. with pre-game events beginning at 6:30 p.m.

For more information on the day, please check the school’s website: www.bdcs.org or contact Coach Michael Johnson at mjohnson@bdcs.org.
