The Oak Cliff Lions Club will present the Bill Melton Humanitarian Award to The Honorable Kay Bailey Hutchison, former U. S. Senator, Texas State Senator, Texas State Treasurer and Texas State Representative at their noon meeting Wed., March 18.

Senator Hutchison will be the 37th recipient of this annual award, presented to recognize and honor a person whose activities, contributions and service to the community best symbolize the ideals of Lionism.  Usually given to non-Lions who have demonstrated dedication to community, profession, God and mankind that exemplifies the motto of Lions Clubs International, "We Serve."
