  focusing on an important social justice issue. Moving forward\, we will b

 ber 6th: Free Film Screening of The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson \n
  \n The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson uses the belated investigation
  into an activist's murder as the framework for a sobering look at the ong
 oing battle for equal rights. The film chronicles Marsha P. Johnson and Sy
 lvia Rivera\, prominent figures in gay liberation and transgender rights m
 ovement in New York City from the 1960s to the 1990s and co-founders of St
 reet Transvestite Action Revolutionaries. The film centers on activist Vic
 toria Cruz's 2017 investigation into Johnson's death in 1992\, which was i
 nitially ruled a suicide by police despite suspicious circumstances.\nUnit
