DESCRIPTION:DALLAS\, July 2024 – The inaugural  DIFF SHORTS Film Festival
   has been confirmed for August 23 through 25 at Angelika Film Center & Ca
 fé located in Mockingbird Station. With a goal of elevating short films an
 d celebrating shorts filmmakers\,  DIFF SHORTS Film Festival 2024  will fe
 ature 14 film blocks with more than 80 films\, industry panels\, daily red
  carpets\, and filmmaker receptions.  \n  \n Film enthusiasts will be able
  to connect with filmmakers through Q&As and panel discussions\, learn abo
 ut their creative processes\, and be inspired by their stories shown on th
 e big screen and shared at the festival. Awards at the DIFF SHORTS Film Fe
 stival 2024 will be given for Best Short Film\, Best Texas Film\, Best Mus
 ic Video\, Best Student Film\, Best Documentary Film\, and Best First-Time
  Filmmaker\, with the full schedule of films set to be announced August 1.

 eferred to as Dallas Film) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization establish
 ed in 2006 as Dallas Film Society\, Inc. DIFF provides accessible\, inclus
 ive\, immersive\, educational\, and entertaining film experiences for all
  through year-round programs\, including an educational screening and talk
  series for area high school students with industry professionals\; free a
 dvance screenings of new films for subscribers\, volunteers\, sponsors\, s
 upporters\, and the public\; film series in collaboration with community p
 artners\; and other unique events ranging from film premieres to classic f
 ilm anniversary celebrations. The signature film festivals of DIFF are the
  Dallas International Film Festival\, held annually in the spring\, and th
