DESCRIPTION:Hughes Family Tribute Center will host a 10-week Dementia Care-
 Partner Support Group beginning Tuesday\, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. and co
 ntinuing through Tuesday\, November 14\, 2023. Care partners who are inter
 ested in attending the support group are asked to register to attend and p
 ay $25.00 (plus tax and processing fees) to cover the cost of the workbook
  and class materials. Limited scholarships are available.   \n "Feeling  u

 r and the outside world.  This process of being understood is central to b
 eing compassionate with oneself.  The more people who are compassionate to
  the dementia care partner from the outside in\, the more they are capable

  M.A.\, Co-Author of  The Dementia Care-Partner's Workbook \n Each weekly
  session will cover different aspects of caring for someone with dementia.
  For example\, topics during the first three weeks include: \n - The first
  week will introduce the hosts of the group\, distribute the Dementia Care
 -Partner Workbook to those that registered\, and begin discussions of what
  the group will experience and learn over the next 10 weeks.  \n - The sec
 ond week will begin a foundation to understand and learn about what dement
 ia is\, how it is diagnosed\, the various forms of dementia\, and much mor
 e. \n - Week 3 will discuss the key parts of the brain and their functions
 \, defining activities of daily living\, and the different stages of demen
 tia from mild cognitive impairment to late-stage dementia. This week build
 s on top of Week 2's discussion of what dementia is and how it impacts the
