Dallas Legend Ebby Halliday attended a meeting of the Oak Cliff Lions Club and was surrounded by Bishop Dunne students who were there for a Journalism class. Ebby is a former Bill Melton Humanitarian of the Year Awardee and often attends the annual event.

The Oak Cliff Lions Club is having a  Meet & Greet Reception for potential members Tuesday, April 14th at the home of Dallas County Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia and the Honorable DOmingo Garcia, both Oak Cliff Lions Club members. The club supports local and international charities with a focus on providing glasses and eye exams for the underprivileged. The Oak Cliff chapter is one of the largest in the nation. Many local business men and women and elected officials are members of the club, including the new Dallas County Treasurer Pauline Medrano, Senator Royce West and State Representative Rafael Anchia. New business owners and new Oak Cliff residents are encouraged to attend the reception and meet some of the best connected folks in the area!

The Oak Cliff Lions Club meets every Wednesday at noon at the Weiss Auditorium on the campus of Methodist Hospital. This week's speaker is Allen Brown, Donation Outreach Specialist at the UT Southwestern Medical Transplant Services Center. Anyone can attend a Lions Club meeting. Lunch is $8.50 and RSVPs are suggested.
