Bishop Dunne Falcons celebrate their second consecutive win Saturday against the #9 ranked team in the state, Bellaire Episcopal. The Falcons home opener is Friday, September 18, 2015.

Bishop Dunne Wins 44 to 38 against Bellaire Episcopal 

Senior quarterback Caleb Evans accounted for 453 yards and five touchdowns as Bishop Dunne held off Bellaire Episcopal in the second game of the 2015 Lone Star Sports Football Classic at Eagle Stadium.

Dunne scored on its first three possessions of the game and led 17-0 after the first quarter. Evans and Geraud Sanders hooked up on a 98-yard touchdown on 3rd and eight to make it 10-0 with 4:42 remaining in the first quarter. Evans scored on a two yard run on Dunne's next series to cap an eight play drive. He also scored his second rushing touchdown with 22 seconds remaining before half time to push the lead to 24-10.

The Falcons opened the second half with two scoring drives. Caleb Evans passed 13 yards to Geraud Sanders to cap off a nine-play drive, making it 31-10. Houston Little intercepted a Bellaire Episcopal pass on the ensuing series. As a result, it took only four plays for Dunne to add to its lead. Caleb Evans connected with Reggie Roberson for a touchdown to make it 37-10 with 7:17 left in the third quarter. The falcons improved their record to 2-0 while defeating the (9) ranked state and (58) ranked national team.

Caleb Evans and Houston Little were named the Lonestar Classic offensive and defensive most valuable players.

J.V. Football: Bishop Dunne 28 Madison 12

The junior varsity Falcon football team defeated Madison 28 to 12 to give them their second win of the season.

Freshman Isiah Ruffins led the defense with two interceptions including one that ended a Madison drive in the red zone. Carson Horner led all defenders with three sacks. Gabe Matous also recorded two sacks. Freshman receivers Marquez Beason and Jabari Khepera continued to make explosive plays scoring on receptions of 60 and 55 yards. Stacy Conner accounted for three total touchdowns (2 passing and 1 rushing). Tre Gamble sealed the victory with a 20-yard rushing touchdown.

The J.V. Falcons are now 2-0.
