Senior Quarterback Caleb Evans “Built Ford Tough Player of the Week," Leads Falcons to am Undefeated, 10-0 record

In its tenth consecutive year, Ford Motor Company’s Player of the Week program honors six outstanding student-athletes each week of the 2015 regular season, recognizing one player in each of the state’s six athletic classifications.

In week seven, Caleb Evans, senior quarterback for the Falcons, was chosen by Ford for his outstanding play against Prestonwood Baptist away at their stadium during their Homecoming.

In what Ford Motor Company described as a déjà vu moment, a rematch of the 2014 TAPPS Division 1 State title game, Caleb led the No. 1-ranked Falcons to another victory over their arch-rival. Fourteen points down in the fourth quarter, losing 21-7, Caleb completed 14 of 19 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown, and rushed another 22 times for another 160 yards and a touchdown. Caleb has many other commitments. Besides earning a 3.2 GPA he is a member of the track team, an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club and the youth group at his church.

Coach Johnson noted Caleb’s strong work ethic and reminded everyone that he was sacked seven times in the Prestonwood game, but said Caleb would get the job done and get a win - and he did!lcons

The Bishop Dunne Falcons play at home at Early Hayes Stadium located behind the school at 3900 Rugged drive on Saturday, November 21 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased at the gate.
