Family-Friendly Festival

The Great American Eclipse is coming!  Have you made your plans yet for this incredible celestial event taking place April 8, 2024?   

Samuell Farm, a 600+ acre park operated by the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, is in the direct path of totality - experiencing 4 minutes and 7.6 seconds of darkness!  Dallas is planning a 3-day festival, April 6-8, featuring overnight camping, day passes, recreation activities, educational speakers, a store with eclipse merch, outdoor movies, a kids' zone, a Sunday night spectacular, and more!

Here are a few items from our event calendar that you won't want to miss:

• Educational sessions from the Rubin Observatory, Dallas Zoo, and National Science Foundation
• Archery and mountain biking classes (equipment provided!)
• Night geocaching with the Texas Geocaching Association
• Outdoor movies like Indiana Jones and The Marvels
• A surprise Sunday night spectacular!
• Fishing and hiking
