The Hughes Family Tribute Center will present its eighth Día de los Muertos Celebración over two weeks, beginning on Saturday, October 22 through Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Crown Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleum. The cemetery, located in the Bachman Lake area, is traditionally visited by families on Día de los Muertos. The Celebración builds on this tradition by presenting a two-week event featuring the art installation Los Espíritus del Bosque by artist Ricardo Alarcón; a visual art exhibition; a live concert by the band Alebrije; dance performances by Grupo Pakal specializing in Mayan dance presentations; live mariachi music; family art activities, children’s entertainment; and food and beverage concessions. The Celebración is free and open to the public.
