Celebrate National Trails Day at OCNP by getting your hands dirty while cleaning up our preserve and maintaining the trails! In addition to the volunteer workday, we will be launching a new interactive trail map for mobile use!
Texas Land Conservancy acquired OCNP in 1999 and has continued to manage the preserve with the help of local partners like the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association (DORBA), North Texas Master Naturalists, and others. OCNP is a 121-acre urban preserve in the heart of Dallas that is enjoyed as a recreation destination by thousands of visitors each year, especially the mountain biking community and trail running clubs.
Please arrive by 8:45am to get registered and bring closed-toed shoes and a water bottle. Snacks provided by KIND Bars. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves or pruning tools (loppers or handsaws), please bring those as well. Youth volunteers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
In addition to individuals and families, we encourage you to bring a group from your church or local community organization and help us restore this urban treasure!
