Game, set, match! Dirk Nowitzki and friends – including NBA MVP Steve Nash, NBA Champion J.J. Barea and tennis great Mark Knowles  – will hit the court for The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Banner House at T Bar M (6060 Dilbeck Ln, Dallas, TX 75240). Presented by Chime, the exhibition-style charity match will get underway at 3 p.m. inside the air-conditioned confines of the T Bar M Banner House at T Bar M. (Doors will open at 2 p.m. with the Junior Teams match up.) 

Tickets are on sale now for $65. Proceeds will benefit The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, which awards grants annually to organizations focusing on children’s wellbeing, health and education.

Kicking off the day, the T Bar M Academy Junior Teams will match up at 2 p.m. prior to Dirk and friends’ takeover of the court at 3 p.m.

The competition will feature the following players (subject to change):

• Dirk Nowitzki, NBA Hall of Famer who played 21 seasons for the Dallas Mavericks, 2011 NBA Champion, 2006-07 NBA MVP, 14-time NBA All-Star and 12-time All-NBA selection
• Steve Nash, Dallas Mavericks legendary player, two-time NBA MVP, eight-time NBA All-Star and seven-time All-NBA selection
• J.J. Barea, former Dallas Mavericks point guard, 2011 NBA Champion, Puerto Rican national team gold medalist in 2006 and 2010
• Mark Knowles, former World No. 1 player in doubles with 55 ATP doubles titles including Grand Slam men’s doubles titles at the Australian Open, French Open and US Open. Five-time Olympian
