Coach Isaac Bell has been Head Coach of the Falcons since 2005

Bishop Dunne has three state champions on its track teams following the final meet of the year.

Competing this weekend with a lean team of six girls and 12 boys, Coach Isaac Bell summed up: “We took 18 students to the state meet and 16 came back with medals. Three are state champions! The boys placed 2nd overall and the girls placed 4th overall.”

“Coach Bell is a great coach who pushes you to excel on the track but also other areas,”  said junior Micah Simon, member of the 4x200 and 4x400 men’s relay teams and starting quarterback for the Falcons.

The state championship plaques are proudly displayed at the school’s at the front desk. Listed below are the results:

Three State Champions

State Champion, Girl’s 100 meter dash - De’Stini Henderson

State Champions, 4x100 Girl’s Relay - Cassie Garner, De’Stini Henderson, Sarah Massey, Ayaunee Williams

Boy’s State Champion, 300 meter hurdles - Dailen Sutton

Five 2nd Place Finishers

Rakel Barrientos - 2nd in 3200 m run (and 3rd in 1600 m run)

Darrion Daniels - 2nd in the shot put

Zach Haynes - 2nd in the triple jump

Mackenzie Frank - 2nd in 100 and 300 meter hurdles

Kwatavavious “KT”Jones - 2nd place 100 meter dash
