Oak Park Estates Neighborhood Association is hosting a public safety event called "Chief on the Beat" at Grace Temple Baptist Church on W. 10th St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 2. 

Officials with both the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire and Rescue will be on hand to answer questions. There'll be food and children's activities, too, says Oak Park Estates Neighborhood Association president Tony Nuncio. 

"Paster Ryan Jesperson of Grace Temple Baptist Church is a resident of Oak
Park Estates," Nuncio added.
