Do you know an Oak Cliff student that weaves prose better than most? Encourage them to enter North Oak Cliff Library's short story competition. The deadline for submissions in the library's "Lettuce, Tomatoes and Pears-Oh My!" Story Writing Contest is Saturday, June 2.

The contest is open to Oak Cliff elementary students from first to fifth grades. All the future F. Scott Fitzgeralds need to do is write a one-page story about fruits and vegetables and turn it in to the North Oak Cliff Library staff by 6 p.m. Saturday.

Don't forget to includ contact information. To find out more, check out the event listing
