Several restaurants have come and gone, but Boulevardier might have what it takes to succeed in the Bishop Arts District spot formerly occupied by Decanter and Cafe Madrid. At least that's what the chefs behind Rockwall's restaurant Ava and the owners of Henderson Avenue's Veritas wine room.

Boulevardier will come online as Oak Cliff is still nursing its Bastille on Bishop hangover. Hopefully, after pickling themselves with French wine and cuisine, they'll be receptive to the offerings of Boulevardier — nee Left Bank.

The restaurant, a French-themed bistro serving lobster and saffron bouillabaisse, oysters, and other delicious dishes that will have you saing "Oui, oui!," is set to open next Tuesday with dinner service. Lunch service is planned at a later time.
