Celebrate Cinco de Meow by Adopting a Cat!

The SPCA of Texas Offers $5 Cat Adoptions on May 5 Only

WHAT:  Join the party for Cinco de Meow and adopt a cat! The SPCA of Texas is celebrating Cinco de Meow with a $5 cat adoption special on Friday, May 5. This adoption special will be offered for all adult (aged 6 months and older), senior (aged 7 years and older) and VIP (available for adoption 30 days or more) cats at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.

Regular cat adoption fees are $125 for kittens 0-6 months, $75 for adult cats 6 months and older, $50 for senior cats 7 years or older and VIP cats (available for adoption for 30 days or more). Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of free PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash. 

The SPCA of Texas is full of loving cats who want to spend the holiday and the rest of their days with you. When you adopt a shelter pet, you’ll save a life by giving your new pet a home plus open up space for another pet at the SPCA of Texas. With the joy and love a new pet brings, you'll change an animal's life as well as your own. Adoption hours at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
