Educational Graffiti Workshop Being Hosted By Councilwoman Jasso

Students and parents are invited to attend a free workshop next month that will address the negative affects and consequences of graffitiing.

Dallas Councilwoman Delia Jasso will be hosting the 3rd Annual Graffiti Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon on March 24 at Felix G. Botello Elementary School.

At the event, members of the Dallas Police Department and Code Compliance will lead educational sessions for partents and guardians, which will address what could happen to students who get caught participating in the illegal activity.

Students who attend will get to compete to see who can create the best mural designs. Also, Dallas Cowboys running back Phillip Tanner will lead a session and welcome all of the attendees.

Anyone is welcome to attend this free event, which is targeting first through sixth grade students. Parents and students can register through March 15 by calling (214) 671-8520 or (214) 670-4052. Available in both English and Spanish, the event will also include a Continental breakfast, but seating is limited.
