Oak Cliff firefighters Todd Krodle and Vince Davis of Station 26 died in the line of duty, so a memorial fund has been set up to raise money to have monuments erected in their honor.

The monuments are expected to have a total cost of about $3,300 and will be placed at Station 26, which is located at Westmoreland Drive and Jefferson Boulevard in Oak Cliff. Station 26 was the firefighers' home station.

Krodle passed away when fighting a fire at Ridgecrest Terrace Apartments last summer. Davis passed away in February 2002 when fighting a fire at an apartment complex on Jefferson Boulevard near Plymouth Road.

Anyone who is interested in donating can make out a check to the CFA (Christian Firefighters Association) Memorial Fund and put the account No. 11775790 in the memo line, and then mail it to City Credit Union, 7474 Ferguson Rd., Dallas, Texas 75228.
