Steve Hilburn, president of the Kessler Plaza Neighborhood Association, was happy with the turnout at the group's second annual Fourth of July bike parade and neighborhood barbecue at Moss Park.

While last year's event started earlier in the morning at around 9 a.m., Hilburn said they started the bike parade a little later, at 11:30 a.m., this year hoping to attract more kids and cyclists.

Most people came to hang out in the shade provided by the trees at Moss Park, and for the hot dogs and festive cupcakes, too, of course!

Kessler Plaza is a growing neighborhood association in Oak Cliff. Find out more about the group on their website.
