On Saturday, April 28, 2012, join other DCCCD students and community members as we keep the Great Trinity Forest clean in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi's famous quote, “Be the change we wish to see in the world.” 

Groundwork Dallas will lead the clean-up of  the Great Trinity Forest, the largest urban hardwood forest in North America, with student volunteers from all seven DCCCD colleges and people from the community. Bring your classmates, make new friends and give back to our community. You can volunteer for a three-hour shift from 9 a.m. to noon and earn Service Learning credit. 

Who: DCCCD students, student clubs and organizations and community members

When: Saturday, April 28, 2012, 9 a.m.-noon (sign-in starts at 8 a.m.)

What: Student and community Day of Service

Where: The Great Trinity Forest, North Corinth Street and East 8th Street, Dallas, 75203. View a map of the location.

How: Register as a volunteer. You’ll need to bring a couple of forms with you, too. Find out more about the forms you’ll need

Do’s: You’ll need to wear long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes, and you may want water, a hat, sunscreen, a backpack and gloves. You won’t be able to participate if you aren’t properly dressed.

Don’ts: Don’t bring anything big or heavy that you’ll have to keep track of. There won’t be storage available for personal items.
