Home Tour Raises $30,006 for Old Oak Cliff Conservation League

The Old Oak Cliff Conservation League raised a record $30,006 at the 2011 fall home tour that will go toward the organization, which is the most money that has ever been raised during the event's 37-year history.

The home tour showcased 14 houses throughout Oak Cliff on Oct. 8-9 to give attendees a chance to see inside some old, unique and historic homes.

"Some of the most consistent positive feedback centered on the 111 year old Lansford convent/speakeasy property, and the Oak Park Estates neighborhood," according to a media release about the event. "Many knew nothing about Oak Park Estates before the area had 2 homes featured on this year's tour."

The Old Oak Cliff Conservation League is a non-profit organization that strives to preserve old homes and architecture throughout the area and promote Oak Cliff as an exceptional place to live.
