Life School dedicated its newest campus recently in Oak Cliff with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring local dignitaries and school officials. Located at 5525 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas, Life School Mountain Creek is the charter school district’s fifth elementary school campus joining Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Oak Cliff and Red Oak. The new school offers kindergarten and first grade classes, with a new grade scheduled to be added each year until it reaches sixth grade.

“We are committed to serve the children of North Texas and we are thrilled that our newest campus is located in Oak Cliff,” said Superintendent Brent Wilson. “We will continue to expand as a district to help make a positive difference in the lives of students, families and the community.”

Life School opened in 1998 with one campus with 266 students and 15 staff members. Today, the district has 4,700 students on six campuses: Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Mountain Creek, Oak Cliff, Red Oak and Waxahachie. The mission of Life School is to train leaders with life skills for the twenty-first century by establishing strong academics, character training and a parenting program.
