Dallas ISD’s School of Science & Engineering Magnet (SEM) has been named by Newsweek as the top STEM high school in the nation for 2020 out of all private and public high schools.

SEM Principal Andrew Palacios expressed great pride regarding the impressive distinction bestowed upon the school. “It’s a tremendous honor to be named the number one STEM High School in the nation by Newsweek. Words cannot describe how proud I am of our extraordinary students and dedicated teachers whose accomplishments continue to exceed my expectations. This recognition tells a story of the great things happening here at SEM and throughout Dallas ISD. Every student who has walked through our school doors has left a footprint in the progress we have accomplished today, and we are excited to continue driving forward by providing quality education and access for all students.”

SEM’s highly-selective admissions process, rigorous curriculum, and top-notch educators produce graduates who are fully prepared for unparalleled advancement in STEM and are heavily recruited by universities worldwide.
