Bishop Dunne won third in the State TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Paroachial Schools) art competition this past weekend in Austin at Concordia Universtiy.

A "lean and mean" team, entering less than half the artwork of other teams, the Dunne students (and their fearless leader Allie) earned more than half the points of the state champion team.

A special congratulations to the students who placed:

Senior Marianna Eubank
2nd place on site design
4th place photography

Junior Taylor Bishop
1st place fashion
6th place on site design

Junior Rebekah Adkins
1st place communication design
2nd place communication design
2nd place printmaking
1st place on site drawing
5th place seek and sketch
and a tie for 2nd place in 2-D mixed media between two of Rebekah's works

Junior Rebekah Adkins earned 51 points, which is 18 points more than all students at Bishop Lynch, JPII and Nolan combined.

Bishop Dunne has a history of producing successful artists, and classes include Introduction to Art, Advanced Art, Photography 1 & 2, Graphic Design, Drawing & Painting and Ceramics. This is Allie Ramirez's first year as Art Department Chair.
