This is the second year in a row that FIDO Oak Cliff is the beneficiary for the Dash For The Beads 5K. This year, though, the non-profit organization bent on bringing a dog park to North Oak Cliff is looking for more volunteers to manage the 5K fun run, walk, costume contest, and street festival on Feb. 9.

"Last year we received $7,500 from Dash and we anticipate receiving that much or more this year," said FIDO officials. "Please help us make this a successful event by volunteering for a time slot below. Volunteering includes a variety of activities including registering runners, working on the run route, manning water stations, and other race setup and cleanup. Volunteer for the full day and you can come to our volunteer after party at Eno's!"

• Shift 1 - 8:30am to 10:30am
• Shift 2 - 10:30am to 12:30pm
