The Labyrinth Walk Coffee House is adding a new event to its repetoire: Jazz Jams on the Second Sunda of the month starting January 12 from 5 pm to 7 pm.  The Labyrinth Walk is no stranger to jazz and entertainment events.  For years, it has been hosting Jazz under the Stars and the ever popular annual August Vaudeville.  All the Labyrinth's events are held at the facilities of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff, 3839 W. Kiest Blvd.

In 2013, the Labyrinth Walk launched two new event. The first was the Oak Cliff Jazz Fest and Arts & Crafts Fair which featured some of the finest blues and jazz artists in the metroplex as well as fine craftsmen, artisans, and artists.  The Second Annual Oak Cliff Jazz Fest is now in the planning stages.  In December, The Labyrinth Walk hosted its first Winter Solstice Celebration and its success gives every indication that event, too, will be repeated this year.

The Jazz Jams provide a friendly setting for both musicians and listeners to enjoy a couple of hours of jazz on a Sunday afternoon.  Admission is free - the experience priceless.  Tips for the performers are encouraged and will be distributed evenly among the performers.

Musicians need to bring their own instruments and  Real Books (Hal Leonard 6th edition VOL I & II) and join in with the fun. If you want to try something new, bring it along as well.  Sorry, but there is no equipment for musicians to use, so please be as self contained as possible. We are always looking for drummers willing to set up and share their drums for the occasions.

Audience members may bring their own beverages (nothing harder than wine or beer), food is they like, and family and friends for a great time listening to fine musicians.
