The Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts has announced that Keith Cerny, CEO Of the Dallas Opera will present the final program in the popular fall 2013 Salon Series on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Turner House, located at 401 N. Rosemont in the Winnetka Heights neighborhood of North Oak Cliff.

"Notes on Opera: By Love Transformed" is the title of Cerny's discussion of the current season at the Dallas Opera and how this centuries-old form of music can be a mirror of contemporary life. The Opera's 2013-2014 season includes classics as well as cutting edge contemporary operas.

The program will include a performance by Dallas Opera vocalists, with an accompanist on the Steinway grand piano owned by the Society. Historic Turner House was built in 1912, and the piano dates from 1924. This holiday-themed concert will be enhanced by the festive decor and fine acoustics of the venue.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the presentation is from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for OCSFA members and students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the website.
