From Sarah's website:
"Esteemed hosts from the Dallas Peace & Justice Center have teamed up with the community of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff to co-sponsor a book talk and author meet and greet with me, as well as local pro-immigration forces to discuss the biggest elephant in the 2024 presidential campaign: immigration. We’ll start with a gathering of wine and nibbles, and commence our facilitated conversation at 7:00 pm."
Sarah Towle, is the author of Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands. October 7, 2024: Reception: 6:00 pm Presentation: 7:00pm
Brownsville-Matamoros - January, 2020: There were more than 3,000 asylum seeking immigrants camped in Matamoros at the time. Sarah Towle, an American journalist living in London, was researching immigration along the border. This research was made into the book Crossing The Line for which she has been on a book tour since June - it’s available in print, and on Audible and is now going into its second printing. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff's Social Justice Ministry & the Human Rights & Justice Committee of the Dallas Peace & Justice Center are co-hosting this opportunity for Sarah to share her experiences and observations of the situation on our southern border.
