Council members Scott Griggs and Monica Alonzo will attend a press conference in the Flag Room at City Hall on Wednesday, January 4th at noon for an announcement by the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group to donate funds for the design and implementation of bicycle lanes along the Fort Worth Avenue corridor from Colorado Boulevard to Beckley Avenue.
The Fort Worth Avenue Development Group has spearheaded a $25,000 challenge grant fund raising drive; $15,000 donated by Fort Worth Avenue Development Group with additional contributions provided by area businesses, residents and developers throughout the two mile span to assist the city in developing bicycle infrastructure within the next six months recommended by the recently adopted Dallas Bike Plan
