There's a cool new trend surfacing among Bishop Arts District bars and restaurants: Windows where you can sit and enjoy a brew with a view.

If the debate over the belly-up window on Amy Wallace Cowan's Facebook wall is correct, then it all started at Bolsa in 2008 when Christopher Zielke and Christopher Jeffers added one of the windows with stools to their now incredibly popular bar and restaurant.

Slowly, the trend has picked up after Oddfellows added a pair of windows to their restaurant. After Cretia's moved across Bishop Street, the owners of Whitehall Exchange added a pair of peek-in counters with built-in stools to their facade.

Bar on Bishop is the latest to add this feature. The bar, sandwiched between Oddfellows and Chan Thai, is currently being remodeled.
