Free music concert Tuesday November 15 at 7 p.m. at On the Levee 1108 Quaker St. 75207. “An Evening of Music” features local musicians, Augustine “Tino” Jalomo, Caye-An Muldowney, Ethan Worland, Cesar Anguiano, Billy Lawley, Michael Regalbuto, Lillian Rivas, Ginny Robinson, Scott Rudes, Daniella Salazar, and Luis Salazar singing classical, pop, and musical theater selections. The event is free and generously supported by The Donachie Foundation, GFT Charity and St. Jude Chapel.
“It has been more than ten years since I’ve last given a concert of music,” says Augustine Jalomo, who currently serves as the City of Dallas Arts Commissioner for District One. “It was time. I have met so many wonderfully talented individuals in the last decade that I wanted to invite them to take part in the concert. There will be a series of solos, duets, and a few trios – classical pieces to pop to musical theater. I am also doing a few new songs that I have always wanted to do in public. Now’s the time.
Many of the musicians have shared their gifts at St. Jude Chapel, a Catholic chapel located in downtown Dallas on Main Street. This is also an opportunity for them to share music that is something other than religious. It could be a classical piece they’ve always wanted to try, or they are working on their master’s degree in music and need to perform a certain piece for the experience. This evening of music is especially for that – taking risks, experimenting, and sharing," concludes Jalomo who also serves as the general manager of St. Jude Chapel.
The event is free, open to the public and for one night only Tuesday, November 15 at 7 p.m. at On the Levee located at 1108 Quaker Street, 75207. For more information on St. Jude Chapel, visit www.stjudechapel.org.
