Students at Tyler Street Christian Academy proudly display their blue dressings after giving blood.

Tyler Street Christian Academy recently hosted its annual blood drive in partnership with Carter BloodCare.

The drive was held during National Student Leadership Week and was spearheaded by the school’s Meadows Foundation Charitable Awards Committee. A total of 28 students, staff and parents donated blood, saving 84 lives.

The blood drive was a great service learning opportunity, as it merged educational instruction and hands on experience while challenging students to carry out their civic responsibility within their community.

Tyler Street Christian Academy provides a college preparatory education and seeks to develop Christ-like character preparing our graduates for a life of leadership and service to God and the community.
