Lizelle Carrillo, a senior at TSCA, prepares to donate blood for her third consecutive year.

Tyler Street Christian Academy recently hosted its 8th annual blood drive in partnership with Carter BloodCare.

The TSCA Meadows Student Volunteer Committee held the drive on Thursday, April 7th where students, faculty, staff and parents donated blood, saving 60 lives. Members of the Dallas Trinity Rotary Club and Tyler Street Church, as well as others from the community, came out to give blood.

The blood drive was a great service learning opportunity, as it merged educational instruction and hands-on experience while challenging students to carry out their civic responsibility within their community.

Tyler Street Christian Academy educates by inspiring students to love learning, strengthening them with Christ-like character and Biblical foundations for living, and encouraging them to pursue their dreams and callings.
