Social media is shared content, not a specific channel of sharing.

It’s conversation.

It’s questions and answers.

It’s interesting and helpful information that people send to their friends.

It’s connections between people, brands, and other organizations.

It’s a way to listen.

It’s a way to respond.

It’s a way to help customers get to know you.

It provides occasions to promote relevant offerings.

And finally, I believe social media presents opportunities for a new way of conducting business.

GreenWeavers Networking Group is having an E-waste drive to raise money for Rosemont Elementary Art Program. As we in the community know, Rosemont Elementary has one of the oldest, most active PTA's in the state of Texas. Very involved parents. Greenweavers are helping by bringing E-waste to the next meeting.  Would GreenWeaver's co-founder, Steven Bailey of Urban Acres have something to do with selecting this worthy Oak Cliff school?  We thank you!!

Many of you may need to be schooled on what E-waste is.  Here are the three different places where GreenWeavers will be selling the E-waste to and whose proceeds will benefit Rosemont Elementary's Art Program.  You can contribute towards Earth Day with your children too by taking your - Old Cell Phones, Laptops, Camcorders, Printer Cartridges, and any other old electronic device that can be recycled through an E-waste company. And earn a bit of cash at the same time!

Oak Cliff is full of stories.  I ran across this just now.  The article of Bolsa's owners keeps us hopeful and excited about our 5 mile world--known lovingly as the OC.  There are four new restaurants I know of opening before years end AND one of my meetings this morning told of the possibility of another.  Foodies Unite!  Eat Local. Shop Local. Living La Vida Loca in Oak Cliff!!!!

Bolsa has that California feel and being where we grew up it seemed natural to take my mom there while in town.  We enjoyed the Tomato Bisque (less bisque, than soup but very tasty) and the Egg Sandwich.  Lovely lunch before having to take her to the airport & back West.  Thank you Bolsa for the memory!

........wish you had a twitter account and a facebook page via @speakology

Precious renovation of a garden store named REPOTTED in the Oak Cliff Mercantile building and for you "old-timers" the building owned by Ruth Chenoweth, Winnetka Heights historian and activist.  I discovered resident Jonathan Braddick at the opening and going home green...if you see what I mean.
