Members of the Rosemont Dads Club hosted a charity golf tournament on Oct. 22 at Golf Club of Dallas. The event raised more than $4,000 for athletic programs at Rosemont Elementary School.

The second annual Rosemont Dads Club golf tournament was a successful one. The Oct. 22 four-man scramble at the Golf Club of Dallas raised more than $4,000 through fees and sponsorship.

Around 50 players teed off at noon, but one team — Shawn Gage, Richard Rogers, Duke Tran and Greg Hornok — stood head and shoulders above the rest. Brad Davis won the long drive competition and Rob Slesinger took the closest-to-the-pin competition.

The tournament, which has become a highly anticipated event, supports athletic programs at Rosemont Elementary School, a Dallas ISD campus serving North Oak Cliff.
